Trading Company Specializing in Roofing Materials and Photovoltaic Power Generation (PV) Systems

Our company is a trading company specializing in the wholesale of various roofing materials such as tiles as well as in the wholesale of photovoltaic power generation (PV) systems. We have business relations with several hundred roofing work shops throughout Okayama prefecture, and we are maintaining the industry's top position within the prefecture. We can provide detailed information and suggestions to roofing work shops taking advantage of having plentiful products and expertise.

"Yaneiroha" and “Kabeiroha”

These are websites to make roofing and setting-outer-wall work shops, who have little contact with general people, known to the public and to connect them with end-users. It is the first website in Japan to specialize in roofs and outer-walls, and is also a new business model for us. We visit roofing setting-outer-wall work shops one by one and talk with shop members in person about their thoughts and the work they are good at. It is a media that spreads not only in Okayama but throughout Japan.

Work of Delivery Staff

Main work of the delivery staff is to deliver roofing materials to house construction sites. Although we sometimes carry heavy roof tiles, our original small-lot delivery is appreciated by the workers at the site. The delivery area is mainly within Okayama prefecture. The number of visits per day is around 2 to 4. We use 3-ton trucks for transportation, and we load/unload products by ourselves.

When you get used to the work, you are expected to deepen the relationship with the customers further by exchanging information, etc. The number of product items of roofing materials is rather huge and it will take some time for you to memorize them. But once you have the experience and knowledge, you will be able to work very actively as a professional of roofing materials.

After the cleaning and the morning meeting, I prepare for the delivery. I load the truck while sharing the delivery route of the day with a senior staff. A newly employed person will be accompanied by a senior staff to learn the delivery method and route until the person gets used to the work.

I have arrived at the first construction site. I sometimes unload the products together with the craftsmen. The main delivery destinations are roof construction sites. I always plan the most efficient delivery method in advance by checking the location and time so that the craftsmen at the construction site will never have to wait for the products.

The delivery destinations cover the whole area of Okayama prefecture. We sometimes may have to return to our company to load new items before making further deliveries. I always cooperate with the senior staff. Even if there is an urgent request, I always focus on driving safely.

This meeting is the opportunity for both the roofing material wholesale business and the web business to exchange opinions and information on the same subject, and to share the topics of overall developments and goals. In the evening, I mainly check, share, and prepare the delivery route of the next day. I also take care of orders received from customers during delivery. Before I leave work, I report to seniors and superiors, and write a daily report.

I used to work in the service industry where my life rhythm was unstable as I was forced to move every time a new store opens. So, I decided to look for a new job that does not require moving. Since I like to drive, I chose to become a delivery staff. In the beginning, I had a hard time trying to remember the product items and the delivery route. Today I manage to do the work by myself although my knowledge is not perfect yet and I still depend on my senior's kind assistance. If a new person joins our company, I can support him/her by looking back at my own experience that I struggled. I am not that proficient, but I always try my best at doing my job. I feel satisfied with my work when my colleagues or members of roofing work shops appreciate my work and say "Thank you" to me.

Since we are a trading company, we handle a wide range of products. Our own showroom as well as catalogs can provide you with opportunities to learn about the products by actually touching and observing them. We sometimes invite manufacturers who will give us the training on their products.

Acquiring Expert Knowledge and Skills

If you are in charge of sales, you can also learn specific skills from experts for sales and interviews as well as tips for public relations, etc. If you are in charge of delivery work, you will acquire skills to find needs of craftsmen and to make own proposals as a trading company.

Ordinary driver's license ("Automatic transmission only" is NOT acceptable)
* Persons with experience in driving trucks with crane and forklifts are given preferential treatment
